Das grosse Abenlob

Vor hundert Jahren, am 10. März 1915, erlebte eines der bedeutendsten geistlichen Chorwerke der russischen Musik seine Uraufführung: Sergei Rachmaninoffs 'Das große Abend- & Morgenlob' Op.37. CHANDOS begeht den »Geburtstag« des Werks mit einer fulminanten Aufnahme, die unter der Leitung von Charles Bruffy mit dem Phoenix Chorale und dem Kansas City Chorale zwei amerikanische Spitzenchöre vereint.
