Music & Arts Program of America is an independent American record label that was founded in 1984 in Berkeley, and initially specialized in classical and jazz. The label Music & Arts was founded by Frederick J. Maroth and is the direct successor of the Educational Media Association of America, Inc., a non-profit label directed by record collectors who were interested in the recordings presented in Maroth’s radio broadcasts. Music & Arts was aimed at a broader audience and first began with rereleases of classical music recordings, and from 1989 on also published new recordings. The German Publishing Archive is working with the label in order to publish the present archive recordings of Wilhelm Furtwängler, Eugen Jochum, Walter Gieseking, Hans Hotter, Wilhelm Kempff and Fritz Lehmann.
